Chinchilla owners, what are the most important aspects of chinchilla parenting?

I am going to be a chinchilla parent in about a month, and I have read all the care guide websites. Now, I want to hear some things straight from the owners themselves. What do you feel are the most important things to keep in mind while caring for your chinchilla? Maybe some things that aren't on every website, things that you have noticed from your own personal experience. Also, just for fun, what is/are your chinchilla's name/s? Thank you!Chinchilla owners, what are the most important aspects of chinchilla parenting?
Here's a couple things to keep in mind

Space: They need a lot of room- probably at least 2 or 3 levels at least so your chin can run around in. They can't be in direct sunlight or where there's a lot of breezes. If you haven't gotten a cage yet, i recommend getting one that is free of plastic as it can get compacted in their tummies and you know how babies are....

Food: I feed mine Oxbow which is one of the best foods out their for them and it's easy to find. They also have an assortment of hays and treats. Water should be distilled.

I would also suggest you getting a flying saucer. It's a metal dish for them to run on. Mine is completely addicted to the point where I had to take it away because he started losing his hair on his leg from too much friction.

Chin scratches are their most happiest time of the day. They make the cutest little faces and they'll even start grooming your hand back. Just don't be scared because those little harmless nips are nibbles of love. If it gets too rough, just pull away and say ';gentle';

Most of all they require you to be patient. Trust takes time.
