Do you think the school system is taking away parenting skills?

Teaching about marraige, puberty etc. It is the parents' job to do this so that their children can learn based on the families values.Do you think the school system is taking away parenting skills?
If a parent is really effective, he or she has instilled all these values long before the school addresses them.

Unfortunately, some parents don't teach anything about these issues. Other children shouldn't be kept ignorant so that the religious can be satisfied.

Teach early and discuss conflicts with your child.Do you think the school system is taking away parenting skills?
Parents need to start talking to kids about all of this way before they get in school. They need to teach them that family is important and what is needed to have a happy family. Most parents are to involved with making sure the bills are paid and looking good to the outside world then they are about teaching kids any values. If the parents teach them at home and reinforce their beliefs then the school can only give the kids the alternatives. Most kids will talk with parents about this if there is a line of communication. My kids would come to me about almost anything and I would come up with answers, some times it wasn't easy to explain their questions, but they would understand what was right and wrong when we where done.
The school system wants to control students and parents as well. You must teach your values to your children because if you don't someone else will.Your children are in school more than at home. They are looking for answers and if you don't teach them good moral values and respect for our environment and our country and our creator, then you have failed them as a parent or guardian.
Now if the parents would actually DO it, that would be great. And as far as the family values I've seen these days, the kids will do better to learn about them in the schools.
