I would write them a fake note and show them how to beat Super Mario Bros. 3 in less than 10 minutes and then put the hurt on them in some Smash Bros. Brawl. Is convincing my kids to stay home and play video games instead of going to school bad parenting?
awesome. i wish i could play video games all dayIs convincing my kids to stay home and play video games instead of going to school bad parenting?
Your kids should not skip school to play video games. Kids need to go to school to lean and enrich their education. If you keep up the very bad habit of letting them sit in front of the TV and let them play video games, they most likely will not be motivated for school now and in the future. Kids need to go to school to learn important life skills and gain knowledge used in everyday life. Television has a huge effect on children's health, and can lead to obesity. In conclusion, I would stop this habit quickly, and only allow your children a certain amount of time after school when their homework is done. Spend more time with your children without playing video games, and make sure they go to school.
So you'd actually have to convince them? Well, I think it's a great idea, screw all that math and science and whatnot. It's only teaching the kids to all think alike! Whereas beating Super Mario Bros. 3 (excellent choice btw) in less than 10 minutes is a unique skill that they can use for the rest of their lives.
Video games help develop quick reflexes and boost hand-eye coordination.

No, Mr. Simpson, it's excellent parenting.
