How do you choose best answer in the parenting section?

I posted a question and wanted to pick best answer and it does not give me that option..why is that? How do I do it?How do you choose best answer in the parenting section?
You have to wait for four (4) hours after asking a question in order to choose the ';best answer.'; That's to give folks a fair chance to log in and find your question. Many of us log on and off periodically during the day and we may not be online when you posted.





Once the four (4) hours have elapsed, go back to view the question. You can do that by clicking on ';My Profile'; near the top the page, right hand side under the word ';discover.';





Once you're at your profile, look under your avatar (photo) and you'll see a list of all the questions you've answered plus a tab you can click to see the questions where you were chosen as ';best answer,'; the questions you've asked and the questions you've starred.





Click on the word questions and you'll see the list of your questions, click the question and it shows you not only the question but all the answers. There will be a blue box under each answer. Click the box of the answer you liked best. You will get 3 points for choosing.





Be sure you pick the ';best answer'; before the time for answering expires or it'll be too late, it'll go into voting.How do you choose best answer in the parenting section?

So you've asked a question and you have some answers. That's good. But now you want to choose a best answer, but don't know how. No problem. I'll explain how.





First off, let me tell you that you do not need to be on any specific level to choose a best answer. Many users think this because the buttons will not display.





* Make sure the question has been open for at least four (4) hours. This is to ensure the buttons to choose a best answer are there.





* Go to your question you wish to resolve (choose a best answer to). If you have waited for four (4) hours there should be blue buttons under each answer saying ';Choose as Best Answer';.





* Find the answer you wish to choose as the best. Once you have found the answer, click on the blue button directly beneath the answer. You'll be taken to the ';Select the Best Answer'; page.





* When this page has loaded, you will see your question asked and the answer you wish to select as the best. Scroll down and you will see stars and a feedback box.





* Rate the answer using the stars. 1 star = Decent Answer. 5 stars = Excellent Answer.





* Now you have to place feedback. You are limited to only 300 characters (including spaces) so keep it short. Be kind and thank/congratulate the answerer for having his/hers answer chosen as the best. Be sure to thank the other answerers for their effort too.





* Once done you can click on OK. Once you click on OK, the question becomes resolved and the answerer you chose as the best will receive 10 points.








Tips and Warnings:





If the answer you are choosing as the best has thumbs ups on it, each of those thumbs up is equivalent to 1 point. This means when you choose the best answer, not only will the answerer receive 10 points but for every thumb up on the answer will add another point to the total.





If you like you can thumb up the answer you are choosing as best to add another point to the answerers total. You must add the thumb up BEFORE choosing it as best.





Once a best answer has been chosen, it cannot be changed. So pick wisely.
The ? must be at least a few hours old to offer you the option of ';choose as best answer';. Be patient...
