God. He said if you spare the rod you spoil the child. Little children have to have a switch used on them to get the message to you or they will rule the roost.

It breaks my heart to think of little children being switched. I don't believe children should be allowed to rule the roost, but their are more respectful (kind and firm) ways to make sure this doesn't happen. Positive Discipline does not mean permissiveness. Jane Nelsen
