What entices you to answer a question in the parenting section?

Just curious.





For example to you look for avatars that you know, the subject matter, like fun questions, etc.What entices you to answer a question in the parenting section?
I just give my honest opinion on most questions if I think I might have a clue, I don't look for people I have seen before, of course, you will see the ones that bother you some times, but you just grit your teeth and answer the best you can.What entices you to answer a question in the parenting section?
I'm a parent and I love to know what and how I can improve as a parent and as a husband. I like to read others answers to get different opinions on matters that I may be going through. If I can gather some knowledge from all the answers I read to make my daughter happy and my wife then its worth it. Plus most of the questions on the parenting section are mature ones. Not about teens going through puberty. lol
It takes very little for me not to open a question. Even a troll question. I give troll questions troll answers, like the guy who sealed the bedroom the door shut because his son sneezed. I give fun questions fun answers. And I give real questions real answers if I can help. I don't answer the fighting ones at all. And if I don't know an answer, but it's bound to affect me at some point, I star it. If it's a heartbreaking question, sometimes all I can do is say I'm sorry, or email the person privately with condolences.
My curiosity for one. Next would come my desire to see if I can actually gain something from someone else's view points. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't, but I never fail to at least gather an interesting (or insane!) view point. Then again I do like to share my knowledge as a parent and my own views when I can. It's an interesting community here.





Some subject matters do tend to draw me in more than others and I do like to look for my contacts or people that I ';know';.

really? after yesterday and last night, im not quite sure.....








although actually its the users that i like. those that crack me up are awesome. im a mom 24/7 i need a freaking break some days. my husband works all the time - even on weekends - 80% of the time. i live in the middle of now where and darn it i like to laugh. if thats a sin well shoot me now people. im just a mom who likes to talk to other moms and get some comic relief.


my every day life is scary sometimes - this economy stinks, we live week by week in terms of money, nothing is guaranteed in the realm of money, ive had a lot of crappy things happen in my family, i suffer from depression and this stupid, crazy, brilliant, useless, annoying, hilariousness insane site has actually connected me to actual people.





oh and i have to share my infinite wisdom with everyone, all though i thinks thats a given.
to offer my help and advice, and see what other people have to say on the same situation, everyone raises there child different, theres just as many right ways as wrong ways, but still most people raise they kids just fine.but everyone needs help sometimes
I do look for my contacts (or avatars that I know) and if I know an answer from experience or fact, or if it looks fun and silly.

subject matter, it has to be something i am interested in, i don't just answer to get points i like to help other parents with what i have done what works and what does not. Your question caught my eye so i thought i would answer :D
If I find it interesting, if its a subject I know something about or feel strongly about, sometimes if its an avatar I recognize, sometimes if I am borderline interested I'll open it if it has some stars
I usually look for subject matter and of course if I know an avatar I will usually answer it.
I don't know, I don't look for avatars just questions that sound like they are going to be interesting and that I think I can answer.

Umm. i look at question i would be able to answer the avatars dont really matter to me.
It's usually the subject matter for me. I pick a question that I think I can answer based on my experience as a mom.
I look at the subject and if it is something I think I know or can help with I will answer it. If I know the person through Y!A I will answer it as well.
i just do it wen im bored usually in adolescent but its time for a change as obama would say
For me it's mostly the subject matter.

I love wasting time its like tv to me. and I like to share my experiences and ideas.
