I am confused by this question, what does it mean?I am slow and dont know how they interact with eachother. My proffessor asked this question. I dont need a essay if thats what anyone thinks, just need to understand this questionHow does Nature and Nurture interact with parenting or infancy?
It seems to me to be a badly phrased question, unless ';Nature and Nurture'; is a commonly used term for a set of theories.
It means: how is parenting influenced by the dichotomy between the natural elements of a child's personality and those elements which are instilled by parents. Parents will, for example, try to instil many values at an early age.How does Nature and Nurture interact with parenting or infancy?
An example of nature ';interacting'; with infancy would be a child who at first seems developmentally normative, but as he/she gets older you find he/she has a speech disorder, due to a neurological dysfunction. This has nothing to do with anything EXTERNAL, like environment, or what the mother ingested during pregnancy. This is all in the child's brain.
An example nurture ';interacting'; with parenting would be a child who learns at a young age to speak some words in another language, due to the parents teaching him/her these words. The child didn't ALREADY know those words, so this would be the environment acting on the child. The nurture theory.
